Genre Decision Blog

 In deciding what genre I would be doing my project was hard. Comedy films are very  funny and maybe it would be something different for me. I could try and be funny and try and make my audience laugh just a bit. My sense of humor can be good sometimes people tell me. But making a comedy film might just be a little too hard for me to handle.  Too many things to do while also making the audience laugh. Another genre I was looking to do was horror. But with horror I would need some very scary costumes and dark lighting for some shots. The costumes would be hard to make or get unless I used my old Halloween costumes. Or the creativity I would need to make the horror movie. The genre I decided to go with, with my final task would be action. I have been doing action a lot and I feel like it would be the best idea for me. I have done a lot of research on action films this year. Now it's time to use that for my final task. With action I have so many ideas that I could do for my final project. Action movies to me have been fun making all year and I will be having fun making this one too. I have been watching action movies ever since I could remember. Action movies are my favorite type of movies. Most the of the movies I get my project ideas from are action movies. That was my decision for the final task project. I will be having a great and stressful time making this project.

 I am Gavin Gonzalez, I am a junior at Fort Lauderdale Highschool. In this filming project I decided to work by myself for this project. I would rather depend on myself to get everything done. I can't rely on other kids to help me in this project. It's like a 50/50 chance you are taking. This person you can work with can be very controlling and take over the whole project which sucks. Or they never do anything and expect you to do it all. Or you might not be able to communicate with them. Also the people I could work with live too far for me to get there and I have no transportation. I wouldn't need anyone to work with when I have everything I need at home to do it. When working alone and not in a group you can voice your own ideas and no ne will shoot them down because you are working alone.  This project was definitely a different and new experience. There was a lot of new things I learned from this project. I learned how to add music to my video for the first time. Even though we basically had to have music in the video. It also was a much longer video that I was making and planning for which I thought was going to be harder but it really wasn't. It was like making any of the other videos I made. Just had to make sure I had a good plan and good schedule. With the storyboard it has changed because nobody had to lip sync to the song. I had enough video that if I added that it would have made the video too long. So I decided to cut that out of the video. Also the setting changes a little it wouldn't be in parents lake house I did it in the front yard and I also never had a shot in the garage. Creative Critical Reflection Music Video

 Usually in pop music videos they are just being followed by the camera and singing. They usually have backup dancers to dance in sync. They are usually showing off the money how much money they have or the fancy cars they have. I didn't follow how those usual pop music videos look. I wanted to tell a story to this song. I wanted to have a theme behind the song for people to see. I wanted the video to be different or special not a normal pop song. Always good to be a little different. This video actually does cover some issues in the real world. That was basically the theme I was going for. It represents the issue of bullying and people just being brought down in life. This is for them to push through and don't listen to what they have to say. Like before it engages with the audience due to the theme. Engages with audience due to the story it is telling.
