Creative Critical Reflection Music Video

Image
Usually in pop music videos they are just being followed by the camera and singing. They usually have backup dancers to dance in sync. They are usually showing off the money how much money they have or the fancy cars they have. I didn't follow how those usual pop music videos look. I wanted to tell a story to this song. I wanted to have a theme behind the song for people to see. I wanted the video to be different or special not a normal pop song. Always good to be a little different. This video actually does cover some issues in the real world. That was basically the theme I was going for. It represents the issue of bullying and people just being brought down in life. This is for them to push through and don't listen to what they have to say. Like before it engages with the audience due to the theme. Engages with audience due to the story it is telling. People are drawn into see how the story unfolds. In this case the theme goes with bullying. So this video looks out for bully...

music video

This project was definitely a different and new experience. There was a lot of new things I learned from this project. I learned how to add music to my video for the first time. Even though we basically had to have music in the video. It also was a much longer video that I was making and planning for which I thought was going to be harder but it really wasn't. It was like making any of the other videos I made. Just had to make sure I had a good plan and good schedule. With the storyboard it has changed because nobody had to lip sync to the song. I had enough video that if I added that it would have made the video too long. So I decided to cut that out of the video. Also the setting changes a little it wouldn't be in parents lake house I did it in the front yard and I also never had a shot in the garage. So plans do change not everything is set for the video I have learned from this project. This is one of the projects I have finally not procrastinated.  Which it feels good to...

Editing Blog for music video

Image
Now for the editing part of the music video. This is not my favorite part of the project because it is the most difficult. I still have zero idea what I m doing while I edit. There are so many different things that you can do and I usually just find a way to mess that up. There is all these buttons that I don't even know what they do. But I did edit before so I had a little bit of it done. But during this weekend I was gone the whole weekend so I had no time to do any editing. I had a baseball tournament out of town and the hotel Wifi was bad. Even though I probably could have edited the music video there but the WIFI was bad. But also most the games were late so I would never have had time to do it at all. I had a great time this weekend with my team mates even tough I wish we had won the tournament. But now it is time to get over that now. It is time to start editing my video and get it done. So I got work right when I got home. Well actually not exactly when I got home because ...

Filming Blog for music video

Image
After this break we had off for thanksgiving it was time to finish the filming for the video. We just got of break and the start off the week I had a baseball game so I could only film the video for a little. We got a little done that day for filming but I didn't get everything I needed for the video. So the next day we got to just film a little again because this time I had work afterschool and my brother had practice. This was another quality filming day he was listening and it was fun. We can never actually be serious together so it's hard to do something and stay focused. But we defied the odds and we got a good 30 to 45 minutes of filming and staying focused.  The next day though was the best day of filming we got through everything we needed to film. That day felt amazing getting through the filming and asking my brother everyday for help. I didn't have to get mad or yell for him to cooperate. I could finally relax and look back at the film. But some of the shots I h...
